Earlier this month, we were able to close the US 50 flood gate while railroad construction was happening. Closing the flood gates periodically is important for maintaining their function and ensuring that in the event of a major high water event, the gates will operate properly. This recent closure was successful and we were able to do some maintenance on the flood gate that will help future performance.
